2 States has been in the pipelines for a while – the film adaptation of Chetan Bhagat‘s book was first supposed to be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and starring Shah Rukh Khan, but that never happened. Now, the film finally seems to be taking off – with a new lead actor, and a new co-producer.
Karan Johar will be co-producing the film along with Sajid Nadiadwala, and Imran Khan is apparently playing the lead (there were also talks of Ranbir Kapoor signing on the film, but that never worked out). Apparently, Imran loved the script and so the film will go on floor early next year.
