Oh, you gotta check out Karl Lagerfeld’s pet kitten Choupette! Possibly the cutest, almost certainly the most pampered, and most definitely the tech-savviest cat in the world. Yeah, she can use iPad ‒ and there’s video evidence of it! Ah, let me fill you in on this not-so-ordinary feline.

Almost ten months old now, the Burmese kitten originally belonged to Karl’s toyboy muse Baptiste Giabiconi, who left her with Karl to watch for two weeks over Christmas while he was away.

Karl was so smitten that he refused to give her back. (“I thought she was too cute.” ‒ Ah, one thing we both agree on, Karl.) And he’s been spoiling her rotten since!

She never gets out of the house because she’s “like a very refined object”, sleeps under a Chanel pillow, and has lunch and dinner on the table with Karl since “she doesn’t want to eat on the floor”. And she has two personal maids attending to her both day and night.

Now if you are wondering what the maids do all day, here’s what Karl has to say:

We do keep a diary. When I am not there, the maids take down, in little books, everything she did, from what she ate, to how she behaved, if she was tired, and if she wasn’t sleeping. In the nine months, we already have almost 600 pages. Colette had written a lot about cats. I am not Colette, but I think it could be funny to make a little book of Choupette’s diary.

Btw, she knows how to use the iPad. I’m not lying ‒ check out the clip!

FYI, she’s on Twitter too, to gratify her “human minions” with updates of her day. Yeah, in a flash of ingenuity someone opened an account on her name ‒ and how glad I am that they did, just look at some of the tweets!
