Matthew & Camila McConaughey
The McConaugheys!

Camila Alves, Matthew McConaughey’s other half very recently became Camila McConaughey, officially. Yeah, girls taking on their husbands names, nothing new there. But a showbiz wedding last week, where the guy too changed his last name, got me wondering… Want to know which couple I’m talking about?

Hey, have you watched the film Kick-Ass? They show it all the time on either one of Star Movies or HBO, so check it out if you haven’t yet ‒ it’s brilliant! Yeah, the cutie actor playing Dave Lizewski/Kick-Ass got married on the 21st of June to highly acclaimed British artist Sam Taylor-Wood and… both of them legally took on the name “Taylor-Johnson”! Yeah, Sam Taylor-Wood, who was born Samantha Taylor, became Sam Taylor-Johnson, while Aaron Johnson became Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

The Taylor-Johnsons…

The couple met in 2009 on the sets of Nowhere Boy, the biopic of John Lennon’s teenage years. (Another brilliant film ‒ can’t recommend enough!) Aaron played John Lennon and Sam was the director of the film. He was 19, she was 42, at the time. Since then, they have gone on to have two kids and have now walked into the sunset.

Isn’t he dreamy… ?

Aaron’s quite the hunk, no? He’s an up-and-coming British actor, who’ll be seen in Savages with Salma Hayek-Pinault, Blake Lively, John Travolta, Benecio del Toro; and in Anna Karenina with Jude Law and Keira Knightley. He’ll be credited as Aaron Taylor-Johnson in them 🙂
