How can you not love an evening that starts like this? This was my very first “Hello” at the Diageo Reserve World Class Global Finals being held this year in Rio, Brazil. As the week works its way through 50 of the worlds best bartenders, to decide who will wear this year’s crown. And team Diageo is making sure there’s never a dull moment! What started with casual drinks at the Copacabana Palace “Tanqueray” terrace ended with a rager of a night at the Mahiki afterparty, with a trip to Villa Riso for Ketal One cocktails in between.
World Class cocktails with some of the best (and cutest!) bartenders in the world mixing my drinks all night long? Yes please! (And thanjuberymuch) or as they say in Rio, Obrigado and A sia saide – that’s, to your health! xoxo
Psst! This is my pool buddy who also turned out to be the ace Tiki Barman at the Mahiki afterparty last night #score I’m sorry I have temporarily forgotten your name dude but I will update as soon as my brain un-fuzzes from all the cocktails you served up yesterday!
*Aha I remembered :) Georgi Radev
At the Ketel House experience Ketel One and Wallpaper* launched The Modern Craft Project that supports the artisans around the world!
And if that wasn’t enough we hopped on a shuttle back to the Copacabana Palace hotel for the Mahiki afterparty! But THAT is a blog of a different color, one that my new little pink camera (which I heart btw) will document part 2 of tonight! I hear the Brazilian glitterati will be joining us this evening, so stay tuned for celebrity spotting in Rio! :) xoxo
