Sad start to the day: Dara Singh passed away early this morning. He was transferred from the hospital to his home so that he could spend the last few hours of his life with family. Dara Singh not only had a number of films to his name (his last was Jab We Met in 2007), but he was also a name synonymous with strength – it wasn’t uncommon to hear phrases like “Tu Dara Singh hai?” when someone showed uncommon strength. Several Bollywood personalities took to Twitter today to remember the legend:
