Saturday night saw an enthralling pre-Derby party at ITC Windsor Manor in Bangalore which set the stage for the big day – the Kingfisher Derby 2012 - on Sunday. Bangaloreans were seen guzzling beer and dancing away to kick start the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the much-anticipated event.

The evening saw the Starting Stall Draw roll with enthusiasm in the presence of the charismatic Bollywood diva and Kingfisher Calendar Girl Nargis Fakhri, as she set the pulses racing while drawing out names of horses for the race on Sunday. The draw of the lots determines the position and the lane of the horses for the race and was well attended by the owners, trainers and jockeys.
