Let me insert a disclaimer here. I LOVE Sanchita. So you can imagine how happy I am that she’s showing at Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012 in association with Blender’s Pride. Also luckily for us, she’s given a sneak peek into her forthcoming collection!
Entitled The Firebird it’s also the inspiration behind her collection. She has reinterpreted ball gowns from the ’50s and ’60s through embellishment, tailoring and texture. Expect to see dreamy chiffon ensembles, jacquard fabrics, kimono silhouettes, sack dresses, drop and cinched waists. Oh, and the colours? Chalky lavender, grassy greens and blush nudes that are a winter alternative to summer’s neons. In addition to that, she will be showing menswear too! Can’t. Hardly. Wait!
