Gaurav Gupta is one of the most hotly coveted designers in India right now. His statement making garments have been seen on celebrities such as Sonakshi Sinha, Poorna Jagannathan and Neha Dhupia. It’s no wonder then, that he is showcasing at the FDCI Couture Week 2012 and we’ve landed a small sneak peek!
Drawing inspiration from the Mughals to the Art Nouveau moment; his couture line is a balance between vintage romanticism and opulence. Expect to see Indian silhouettes such as the lehenga and his signature draped saris. The colour palette ranges from ivory, ecru to watermelon and saffrons coupled with exquisite embroidery. Going by anything that the teaser picture indicates we can expect some breathtaking clothes that will hopefully been seen off the ramp. What do you think?
