Happy Birthday Sridevi
Happy Birthday Sridevi

Sridevi is the original diva of Bollywood. She ruled B-town and the South Indian film industry for the longest time and won us over with her endearing performances in some of our most cherished flicks ever. The Hawa Hawai girl pulled off challenging and more serious characters in movies like Sadma, Lamhe and Chandni with as much ease and conviction and vivacious (and super fun) ones in Chalbaaz and Mr.India. As this eternally gorgeous actor turned 49 on Monday, we celebrate all the wonderful songs that she has brought to life with her talent and irresistible charm.

What really makes this birthday super special for Sridevi is her much-awaited comeback (she took a long sabbatical to raise her girls) this September in a fun-filled comedy, English Vinglish. We told you how she launched the trailer recently looking more gorgeous than ever (the previews look so awesome) and I really believe that the makers couldn’t have found a better person to play the desi housewife abroad trying to get her grammar right! Looking back, Sridevi is also the undisputed queen of dance and I’d love to share some of my favorite songs that have defined her illustrious career.

1) Naino Mein Sapna from Himmatwala

2) Hawa Hawai from Mr. India

3) Chandni O Meri Chandni from Chandni

4) I love you from Mr. India

5) Morni Baga Maa from Lamhe

6) Mere Haathon Mein Nau Nau Chudiyan from Chandni

7) Tu Mujhe Kabool from Khuda Gawah

8) Na Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai from Chaalbaaz

9) Main Teri Dushman from Nagina

10)Aye Zindagi Gale Laga Le from Sadma

As this flawless beauty enters her 50th year, she’s looking hotter than ever and is completely putting women half her age to shame with her radiant skin and super levels of fitness!

We really hope that her two adorable girls, Jhanvi and Khushi Kapoor learn from their yummy mummy and do really well for themselves. Everyone’s super excited about her hot new comeback movie which I hope is a huge box-office success. And, I totally wish that she does more movies which remind us of how truly blessed we are to have great actors like her around.

Team MissMalini wishes her a belated happy birthday and a year that marks the most rocking comeback B-town ever saw.
