It’s no secret that Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha work well together – their Rowdy Rathore did so well commercially, that Akki began to consider Sona his lucky charm. We reported earlier that, off the heals of Rowdy Rathore‘s success, Akshay expanded production of OMG Oh My God to include a song for Sonakshi, but she will not have an acting role in the film!
Earlier reports had said Sonakshi had landed a role in the film since she wished to be a part of it. However, Akshay Kumar’s production house Grazing Goats says otherwise, and confirms that she’s not acting in the film – she will only be seen in the Go Go Govinda song.
Word abuzz was that the reason for her not getting a role was tardiness. Rumors surfaced that Sonakshi and her family failed to show up on time, and caused a two-hour delay, in the showing of Paresh Rawal‘s play, Kishan vs Kanhaiya (the play that OMG Oh My God is based on). However, those rumors have no grounds. The production house clarified that Sonakshi and her family were in their seats well before the play started, hence there was no delay.
