Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton, Christopher Bailey from Burberry, ex-Pucci designer Matthew Williamson have also been enlisted to design their very own limited edition chairs. They will then be put up for auction online at www.thebigchairproject.org.

Says Smith about the chair: “I’ve been a bit naughty, because on the front side of the chair it is full of cakes and all those delicious things that are bad for you!, then on the back of the chair it’s full of healthy stuff – lots of fruit, vegetables and lettuce!  – it’s both sides of the coin really, the bad side and the good side. It’s not really the chair, it’s not really the fact its Paul Smith, it’s the fact that it’s for a good cause so if you can support us with a generous bid that would be brilliant!”

The Better Food Foundation aims to spread awareness about positive eating habits; encourage people to cook from scratch and teach practical skills.
