Kangna Ranaut with her curly mop, and dare I say ballsy attitude to fashion, stands out from her peers. Not one to shy away from controversy, she’s played some great roles and has consistently changed her style. Take a look at how her on-screen style has evolved over the last few years.

Gangster (2006)

In Ranaut’s debut film she burst onto the scene as a frizz haired starlet. Her look was simple and seductive, with barely there make-up and those deep eyes.

Fashion (2008)

Playing a model in this film, Kangna is a chameleon with her looks. She rocked a bob, straightened locks, and of course her curly hair (see the Top 10 iconic hairstyles). It was definitely her breakout role.

Once Upon a Time in Mumbai (2010)

Ranaut went retro in this period film abut the mafia scene in the ’70s and ’80s. With her hair styled in a bouffant she pulled off the character with aplomb.

Tanu Weds Manu (2011)

Probably my favourite look of hers… she looks so cool in the desi-chic avataar. The patiala pants, braids and bright colours all did her justice.

Game (2011)

The tough girl. Wearing black cigarette pants, shirts and aviators. She quite literally kicked some ass.

With such drastically different characters, I wonder what’s next in the pipeline from her.
