To celebrate her Eightieth Birthday Day (which is today), legendary songstress Asha Bhosle launched Mission Mai earlier this week, a one of its kind initiative to change the prevailing issue of the homeless, old and forsaken people.
This is in association with the Gitanjali Group, and the film Mai (directed by Mahesh Kodiyal), in which Asha Bhosle has made her film debut. Mai touches on the sensitive issue of old and forsaken people who have been disowned by their children. Also starring in the film are Ram Kapoor and Padmini Kolhapuri.
To celebrate the launch and honour Asha Bhosle, a number of singers like Shreya Goshal, Sukhwinder, Shankar Mahadevan, Javed Ali, Suresh Wadekar, Amit Kumar, Himesh Reshamiya, Salim Suleman, Sajid- Wajid, and Bhavana Pandit, put together a fabulous Mission Mai concert. Check out all the pics:
