Cupcake ATM
…how I came to know about cupcake ATMs 😀

Some things in life makes you feel secure. Superfast internet connection. Owning 19 times the amount of shoes + clothes that you might ever need. A vat of Hotel Chocolat’s Classic Dark Drinking Chocolate. Eve Lom’s Dynaspot. And cupcakes. So how ah-may-zing it is that some genius person over in the US has come up with the cupcake ATM, that provides you with… 24-HOUR CUPCAKE SERVICE!!!! Y-es, friends, it’s for real – allow me to fill you in on this 😀

Brainchild of Candace Nelson, the owner of Sprinkles Cupcakes, the “world’s first cupcake bakery”, it’s basically a vending machine. Using the touchscreen, you select the cupcake of your choice. Once the selection’s made, you swipe your credit/debit card to make the payment. A live video feed of the robotic arm inside the cupcake ATM retrieving your cupcake pops up on screen. Your cupcake is placed in a pink cylinder, which rotates to open, and − ta-da! – you have your cupcake. And best of all, the cupcakes are all freshly baked. The machine’s connected to Sprinkles kitchen, which is, essentially, open 24 hours a day.

Lifesaver!

At the moment, this cupcake ATM is available only at the Sprinkles stores in LA, Chicago and Washington. But they’ve plans to take it to the world. Now, all I need is Pierre Hermé to come up with a macaron ATM – and all will be purr-fect with the world.

P.S. Here’s a video of the cupcake ATM works… Happy drooling!
