As I said last week, it’s a given that the honour for the best dressed at any event would be contested between these two. So no prizes for guessing how they turned up last night, at GQ India’s Men of the Year shindig! Come hither to drool a little ;-)
SO, which Rahul wins this round?
It’s Khanna – for me! The theme for the night was “All That Jazz” meaning they were looking at the 1920s, and what says The Jazz Age better than an all-white ensemble? The fit of the suit, which my Gucci-trained eye (as if you lot haven’t got that figured by now!) says is from the yet-to-be-released Cruise 2013 collection, was just right – y-es, trouser length included. What elevated this look, though, was the printed grey pocket square, nonchalantly stuck in to the pocket. And oh, brownie points for the hand-tied bow, that too done perfectly – and those amazingly polished, swoonsome shoes! Perfection in execution, this time, R ;-)
And why did I not go for my long-term love Bose? Ever the fashion conscious hombre, he went for THE trend of the season, i.e. Autumn/Winter 2012, which is velvet, but the fit of his jacket, by Narendra Kumar Ahmed, is off. And then I’ve major gripe with the waistcoat and white tie, both of whom are fighting for attention with the velvet jacket. Yeah, the jacket needed to be the centrepiece of this ensemble.
Agree with me, folks?
P.S. We’ve already seen R-Patz in Gucci’s amzeballs Cruise 2013 menswear collection. Btw, the collection hits the Gucci stores in India in December, 2012 ;-)
