Indo-Nepalese designer duo Vivek & Anjul recently had a preview of their festive line at Fizaa, the multi-designer boutique in Juhu. The duo designed Madhuri Dixit’s sarees in the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.
Their ethnic collection is detailed with beautiful hand embroidery from India and Nepal, and is aptly called Threads & Sparkles.
Present for the occasion were Nepalese Royals Princess Steeshama and Princess Dilasha. Also present at their first ever preview in Mumbai was Bollywood star Kajol, who loved the ethnic designs on view.
Vivek & Anjul’s work includes elaborate embroidery on specially woven Benarasi brocades which are then cut into traditional lehengas, Anarkalis, suits and jackets.
