I was heartbroken yesterday to find out that the man who taught me to love films, and to love love in general, was no longer amongst us. But I guess we can take comfort in the fact that he did what he loved the most, jab tak hai jaan, and maybe he’s up there somewhere directing better love stories for us all?
So here’s a huge thank you to Yashji… for his films. For those songs. For Kashmir. For Switzerland. For chiffon saris. For the poetry. For sarson ke khet. For that energy. For “Rahul, naam toh suna hoga.” And for forever shaping the way we think of love.
