Starring Paul Dano, Zoe Kazan, Antonio Banderas, Annette Bening, Steve Coogan, Elliott Gould - a novelist (Paul Dano) is completely flabbergasted that his words have turned the fictional dream girl character he is writing into a living, breathing person – say hello to Ruby (Zoe Kazan). How can you not want to watch? :)

In real life, Zoe Kazan lives with her co-star Paul Dano; they have a child together.
The book that has been torn apart by Scotty the dog, is a copy of the novel The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. Both the writer and the novel are referenced several times in the movie.
You’ve seen Paul Dano before in Little Miss Sunshine and Looper. He’s awesome. #notetoself must watch Looper too!
