Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla were two of the most sought-after actresses in the 90s, but the two had never appeared in a film together before. That’s about to change, though, as Anubhav Sinha has managed to rope them both in for his upcoming film, Gulab Gang! Here’s what Anubhav had to say.
Anubhav told TOI:
“Gulab Gang is about two iconic female characters. I couldn’t have pulled off a better cast than the two most iconic female stars, Madhuri and Juhi, together for the first time on Indian screen. My film is an action and drama piece with two women at loggerheads. I needed actors who would justifiably match up to each other, both in terms of their performance and stature. I think, this is the best the film could get, because the subject material is so strong.”
These two are such fabulous actresses that I can’t wait to see how they work together – plus, it sounds like Anubhav has given them both such strong roles, so let’s hope it does justice to the talent of these two ladies. What about you – looking forward to seeing these two together?
