While I was in Goa for Sujal Shah & Surelee Joseph’s awesome Goa wedding my pal Sushil Charles invited me to check out a truly amazing place called Cirrus conceptualised and literally hand-built, by model and DJ Ignatius Camilo. What we saw blew my mind; Iggy (as he’s informally known) is something of a cross between MacGyver and Captain Planet.

His passion for the environment is clear in his eco-friendly designs. He has literally created walls of green light filters using empty Sprite bottles and cosy huts that make up this eco “resort” purely out of  scrap metal, rubber, food grade plastic, wild creepers and more. It’s really hard to describe with any justice what he has achieved here so let me just show you some pictures, and then the next time you’re Somewhere on the Highway to Chapora, look out for the signs :)

Now here’s where the real magic happens, one plastic bottle at a time.

In case you were wondering, yup that’s an old fridge which serves as part wall/part closet in one of the huts. Genius right?!

And while it’s a one-of-a-kind eco resort (not for the weak-hearted I warn you!) by day it’s as much a party-till-dawn place by night!
