Singer Shakira Gives Birth to a Healthy Baby Boy in Barcelona

Colombian songstress Shakira has given birth to a baby boy weighing in a three kilograms, earlier today. She delivered via cesarean section at a hospital in Barcelona and the baby’s father, footballer Gerard Pique, was with her throughout.

The family sent out an announcement which read: “We are happy to announce the birth of Milan Pique Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Pique. The name Milan, means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification. Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth.”
