I haven’t found the perfect mascara. Waterproof is my only requirement, especially during monsoon! I use Cotton Buds – these little babies are perfect for cleaning up mascara, eyeliner and lipstick smudges. Here is my complete list of beauty essentials.

Organic Honey
Organic Honey

1. Organic Honey. I use this as a mask. See here to learn how to make a honey mask.

Coconut Oil

2. Coconut Oil. Night moisturizer/ eye makeup remover. Coconut oil is antimicrobial, antifungal, and antibacterial, which explains why my face hasn’t broken out from it. Or should I say any more than usual.

Korres and Laura Mercier

5. Setting Powder – Korres Wild Rose Mineral Illuminating Powder. Application with MAC 187 brush. With proper care, this brush has lasted me for 4 years.

Benefit and MAC

6. Obsessed with highlighter. High Beam by Benefit is my go to. To up the amp, I use MAC ricepaper eyeshadow above my cheekbone and the inner corners of my eye. The little pot has lasted me for years!

7. Being quite pale, I use either bronzer or blush daily. Bronzer- Hoola by Benefit. It’s a lighter product, so doesn’t give that gross fake tan color. Blush- Chanel’s powder blush in Fresque.

Lucas' Papaw and Faces

8. Lucas Paw Paw ointment for lips, hands and just about anything else. Thank you Australia for introducing me to this product. It is my one true beauty product love.

9. Nude lipliner. Currently using Faces. A must for lipstick. I prefer nude as it’s a one stop product for all lip colors. I just can’t be bothered to buy matching liner for each lipstick.

Shu Umera

10. Shu Umera eyelash curler. They seem to have been discontinued from many places, but I managed to track down a replacement in Bangkok Duty Free. It’s the best eyelash curler on the planet. Promise.
