We’ve always been pretty vocal with what’s IN vogue right now but what about the trends that need to die, and soon?! I’ve rounded up the top 5 trends that need to be put into isolation STAT! Wanna know what they are?

1) Peplum

I’ve never jumped on the peplum train. I find an extra piece of fabric around my waist a bit daunting to sport even though editorials and celebs proclaim otherwise. But then again they have the 26-inch waist and I don’t.

2) Neon

Neon harks back to the ’80s, a decade not known for its groundbreaking fashion. While brights pops of neon are something I totally embrace, I kinda hate the head-to-toe highlighter look. You wouldn’t want someone to break out the shades just when you land up in their line of vision.

3) Bandage Dresses

Ok Mumbai’s society ladies and starlets I’m looking at you. I feel uncomfortable looking at you squeezed into that dress. A relaxed silhouette would be MUCH better. Marilyn Monroe once said: “Your clothes should be tight enough to show you’re a woman but loose enough to show you’re a lady”. Please take heed?

4) Lace Dresses

Lace is EVERYWHERE! It’s about time we opted for a softer and easier fabric to wear. The Morticia Adams look is not everyone’s cup of tea.

5) Exposed Pockets

I don’t get is wearing shorts that expose pockets – something that’s typically meant never to see the light of day! It’s about time this one retires.

What trend would you like to see park its stilettos for good?
