I remember in one of Rajeev Masand‘s blind items, he referred to a no-star film that had gone slightly over-budget, causing the studio backing the movie to freak out a little – that is, until they saw the first cut of the film and realized that they had quite the winner on their hands, thus forgiving all over-expenditures. I think it’s pretty clear which film he was talking about, right?

Rajeev was speaking about Kai Po Che, and the studio’s faith in the project is obvious – they backed the film with a substantial promotional campaign, and now the buzz surrounding KPC is excellent. So much so that several members of the Bollywood fraternity came out last night to watch Kai Po Che - a film that has no big stars and none of their BFFs/contemporaries in it.

Along with the cast and crew, spotted were Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Vidya Balan, Sujoy Ghosh, Sonal Chauhan, Ayan Mukerji, Neha Dhupia, Shruti Seth, Arbaaz Khan, Chitrangda Singh, Arunoday Singh, Dino Morea, Yami Gautam, Farah Khan, Karan Johar, and many, many more.
