Yup, Armin van Buuren is coming to India as part of his A State of Trance 600 tour! He’ll be performing in Mumbai on the 16th, and thanks to the folks over at Submerge and Percept Live we’re giving three lucky readers a chance to win two tickets each for his show! Well my favourite Armin van Buuren track : mmm * Thinks* The list is long, but my current fav and definitely on my top 5 all time fav of AVB is his latest track with W&W is D#Fat : http://bit.ly/XWhKb2 ! Well its my fav coz its in collaboration with another of my fav Dutch DJ’s : W&W the song just makes me #Bounce & its like my mind is a dance floor every time this track plays out loud in my ears !! Hello Miss Malini,
My favorite AVB track is ‘In & Out of Love’ from his 2008 album ‘Imagine’. I really like this track because it makes a difference to me whenever i close my eyes and think about how fake everything is. I trust in trance and that is why whenever you mention AVB or ASOT, this song pops up in my head. Unlike commercial trance, this track spreads peace.

My favorite track is In and Out of Love because it has a strong emotional significance my personal life. It somehow ends up playing on my iPod or elsewhere every time Im falling for someone or coping with a sad end to a relationship. Its my go to song and always will be.
Apart from that , I’m just stoked that the worlds no 1 DJ is coming to play in my city !

Hi. I am from Mumbai. And the best song by AVB according to me is Ja’i Envi De Toi…for obvious reasons :P This trance track is one of the best trance tracks that I have ever heard! Its got that magical touch by Armin. You feel like you’re in heaven and get an out of the body experience. It’s so amazing, whenever you listen to it on full volume…you’re bound to enter into nothing but A STATE OF TRANCE! <3 <3 <3

Well, I’m here because I’m a huge fan of Armin Van Buuren and A State of Trance.
According to me, his best track has to be Burned with Desire. It’s quite an old track, but yet it sounds amazing everyday. It’s got vocals by Anna Criado. She has a magical voice. Whenever I play this track on my iPod on full volume, I feel like I’m floating (not even kidding :P). People say it’s a ten minute long track. However, I put it like this: it’s a ten minute long stairway to heaven. :D

i love the song “going wrong” because i like how i can draw comparisons from different situations in my everyday life and keep it as a track on ALL my playlists. the song (me specific) tends to fit different mood swings i have and most importantly never lets me slouch….the energy is amazingly a mental bliss.

It so definitely has to be “In and Out of Love” featuring the glorious vocals of Sharon den Adel! That song was my guiding light when I was going through a very rough relationship and it still puts me in a state of trance (quite literally) every time I turn it on and plug in my headphones!

Hey, so I’ve been listening to Armin for quite a while now, and i have to say, my favourite tracks is ‘Take A Moment’ by Armin Van Buuren feat. Winter Kills. Im sure if you’ve heard that song you’ll know why its a favourite. Its one of those songs that literally put you in a trance, and you don’t even have to be high on anything, in fact its the song that gets you high. I live in Mumbai.

My favorite AVB track has always been ‘Going Wrong’ It was released in 2008 and was apart of his ‘imagine’ album. The track was a result of a collaboration between Chris Jones, Armin and fellow trance dj/producer Roger Shah. This was the first track I ever heard of Armin’s that made me get into trance, especially vocal trance.
The lyrics are uplifting. It’s about staying strong and hoping for the best when everything around you is falling apart and going wrong. Every time I hear this track, I get goosebumps because that is what music that touches you, does to you.
This track takes you on an emotional journey. It’s uplifting and so soothing even though it can bring back bad memories or remind you of what is currently going wrong in your life. But it’s a track that also promises hope. It gives you reason to keep going on when things are tough.

Usually when you ask someone to list a favorite track or artist, it’s not an easy question to answer. I believe every song attaches a bit of emotion to it, and to rank emotions is rather tough at that too.
But, I must list one track I favorite over all, and that is ‘Broken Tonight’. I heard this track some years back, when I was not stationed in India, and it had everything you’d want your favorite track to have. It had a calm, uplifting melody, beautifully written lyrics, and was all beautifully mixed by Armin van Buuren. The song gives you hope and let’s you look ahead in life, ignoring all the negativity and pessimism, and let’s you look into the greater things in life, showing you there’s more to live for. It’s one of those songs that you can play anytime, especially if you’re feeling low. Makes you feel someone, somewhere, does actually care about you. It’s more than a track, it’s a feeling.

Its a proper trance track..the kind of trance that actually got a lot of people into this kind of music during the early days due to its sheer qualities to mesmerize. I am from Mumbai and my favourite AVB track is ‘In and Out of Love’ from his album Imagine.However,’Drowning’ from Mirage is also very close to me.The reason I love trance genre and especially AVB’s music is that it brings me alive.Whenever I feel low,I listen to AVB’s music and my mood is uplifted.It doesn’t solve any problems but definitely gives a fresh and different mindset to solve them…which actually helps!!

My most favourite track by Armin is STELLAR. The track begins with melodic uplifting tunes setting up a perfect example what is Trance. We Are Here To Make Some Noise! This track does full justice to someone like me who is not just a trance fan(some death metal or Hip-Hop kicks me in too). The change in beats are so amazingly soothing yet complex (I have these dreams where we wake up suddenly after feeling like we are falling from a height. That’s what the beats of this track make me go through. And for me the ending of this track always poses a question about life and all such philosophical things that are open ended.

Ok so this sure was a tough choice to make. But after going through my ipod to help me make this decision I realized over the years there have been various elements to Armin’s music. A couple of years back he made emotional music, music that will make you fall in love or fight for your love. Today apart from the club bangers, he makes Uplifting melodious tunes which can take you to a different world altogether, make you feel happy. Considering the various emotions and moods to Armin’s music My Favorite Classic would be Fine Without You Ft. Jennifer Rene and My Current Favorite would be Nehalennia Ft. Arty

My favourite Avb’s track is “After glow Shivers” featuring Randy Boyer. “Shivers featuring susana” itself is a great song as is, added to that “After glow shivers” is the one of the best by AVB from Asot Heatbeat 500…
This track takes me to another world every time I listen to it and I will be reminded about this song every time I see the moon and even on the no moon days.Just about everything in this song works for me. The relaxed pace about falling out of love with the lyrics of a ballad. Nothing overblown, but simple enough that it’s sweet.
And it captures sort of the wantoness that I get after falling really hard for someone. Will I wait a lonely lifetime? If you want me to, I will. Just touch me, I will follow you in the afterglow. “HOW COULD IT END THIS WAY? DON’T LEAVE ME! LOVE ME! JUST A LITTLE BIT LONGER.”

Favorite Track: Armin van Buuren – Not Giving Up On Love
This was one hell of a task, insanely difficult to choose just one track.
Not Giving Up On Love is my personal favorite van Buuren track. It defines all the elements of the genre we all love, Trance.
Heart Touching Vocals,
Uplifting Beats,
Euphoric Music,
Warm and Melancholic layers of sound
Atomic Energy that can bring the house down.
All of this combined and you have the perfect result: Not Giving Up On Love.
You may have realized that gradually sounds are changing. There are more electro bass lines, minimal percussions and so on but Not Giving Up On Love (NGUOL) combines the classic as well as the modern sounds of Trance. Hail Armin!
Based on a verse from the track, I would like to post a personal anecdote.

My Favourite track is “This Light Between Us” coz Chrisitian Burns has done a wonderful job and sung so well that I fell in love with this song immediately. Also This was my first trance track which I had heard after a friend suggested me and since then I have explored this genre and loved it. So this song has a special place in my heart which introduced me to listening to this genre otherwise I would have missed sumthing beautiful in my life!!!!

I’m from Hyderabad and frankly, have started listening to trance from last about a year and have loved Armin’s music. This fact that he is in India, I do not want to miss the chance of being a part of Epic Journey. I heard this, “Sound of Goodbye” first and fell in love with the lyrics. They say, some songs are written for a person. This maybe is for me. The lyrics,

Following someones music who is miles and miles away from you.. He travels the world to spread his music, and it is like spreading a net and uniting the world under the umbrella of music. He works with the artists around the whole world.. creating a family where there is no competition or discrimination within. Finally your wish comes true to witness him and have a glimpse of him for 2 hours.. and those 2 hours will be having a lifetime of memories.. mind feels that those 2 hours should never end. His intention is to turn whole world into a dance floor.. no matter if you are rich or poor, happy or sad, single or engaged, young or old.. you all are a part of this family. This is what makes him stand different. I believe that more the pure mind, more the emotions in music. His purity of mind is the reason his music is so pure and crystal clear. Though it is difficult to select a favorite track, his track – Armin van Buuren pres. Gaia – Stellar is my personal favorite which i’ve heard countless times. The track given an exhilarating feeling to the mind. It strikes as if some natural force is entering your body and healing all the negative side of your life. Its vocals are like some immortal angels talking to us secretly.

Armin Van Buuren – Communication.
Not everything has a reason.Few things are to be experienced. This song has so much energy that it can even make a deadman rise. I listen to this track whenever I feel down and I am filled with energy and positivity. IMHO his show, ASOT should actually be renamed to “A State of Dance”. I speak no verbose language. But actually whenever I listen to AVB, I am kind of teleported to a whole new whole, a world of music, joy & nirvana!

Its an intensely difficult question, to pick out ONE best track of Armin Van Buuren and A State Of Trance. When you ARE in a state of trance, you rave and revel in every song, right? Nevertheless, right now I’ll pick “WE ARE – Hazem Beltagui & Allan V.” from ASOT 598.
This track takes me to various places every different time I listen to it. Sometimes by a swimming pool near my home when I was a kid, the next time to the girl I had my first crush on, then to a memorable dinner with my parents, to Bogmalo beach (which was just 5 kms from my college Bits Goa). Right now, I’m sitting alone in the darkness inconsiderate of a weekday morning and the progress of the outside world, and am revelling in my own visualized imagination. This.Is.A.State.Of.Trance.

I remember December 2011 when ..me n my boyfriend were at sunburn and even an EDM festival for the very first time..n i remember the moments ..the lights the music ..him holding me n swaying to the music..it was perfect..n one of the few moments i’ll always remember..we started listening to trance.. n some of the few songs we really liked are In and Out of love and Shivers, it reminds us of sunburn 2011..n we listen to his tracks for hours on end ..this time around we’re short of cash..and it’d be soo awesome if we can relive those sunburn memories..or heck make new ones :D

My favorite AVB track keeps changing every now and then…In and out of love was my 1st favorite AVB track.it got me into his music…Waiting For The Night is my current favorite avb track..its music makes it a very special track for me…always gets me raving…Armin van Buuren’s The Expedition (Orjan Nilsen Remix) is another song i just cant control myself from listening to everyday!He played that at ASOT600 BEIRUT.

Firstly i would like to apologize i dont have a particular track which is my fav…. all tracks are my fav…. and that is the reason my answer to this is going to be long….
i started listening to armin way back in 2006 when a friend of mine suggested me to listen to him….. at that time he was placed at number 2 on Dj mag poll 100…..
first track that took me by surprise was “who is watching” from his album shivers where he collaborated with Nadia ali
then came his album Imagine where he collaborated with his brother eller van buuren for the tittle track that made me fall in love with him more…
then there’s another track which was close to my heart which was In and Out of love with Sharon del aden……. amazingly produced with great melody
then came a album which took me by storm named Mirage….. the tittle track was amazing
so was orbion ……… orbion is a track where he has given his soul out….
then came a track which inspired me immensely called Full focus where he used drum base with base lines…… a must listen track that is…. which makes me going whenever am feeling low…..
then there was

But for sure Full Focus has that edge when it comes to me…. coz it makes me feel that am back to life……..

To be honest im not THAT big a trance fan, but there are two songs of Armin Van Buuren that i personally LOVE. They are:
1) In and out of love
2) Waiting for the night.
But the one song that i choose between the two would have to be ‘In and Out of Love’. Here’s the reason.
Being a house, progressive house and hip-hop fan, im used to listening to the heavy beats pounding on my eardrums and it gets me pumped in a way that nothing else can. However, when i heard In and Out of Love for the first time i realised that the song was truly beautiful. The melody of the score and the beats mixed with the heavenly voice of Sharon Den Adel made me listen to it a hundred times more.
Even now when i hear the song it takes me away from the recklessness of life to a place where everything is just calm and serene. Sharon Den Adel’s mystical voice helps a great deal with that.

My favorite song would be These Silent Hearts Ft. BT.
The lyrics of the song are melodic. It yearns to convey something. No matter how silent two people may be or how chaotic life may be with the sounds colliding around us, there is always a spark burning between the people. Wether silent or talkative, theres always this rush like the drop of a bass that makes them both feel alive.
Its a perfect track to just sit out on the Balcony, look out up at the moon and the stars and enjoy the silence and beauty of all around.

MissMalini – asking me to pick up a single beloved Armin Van Buuren track is akin to choosing between my dad or mom! Not only is it nearly impossible, I call it sacrilege.
Anyway, my all time favorite is ‘Breathe In Deep (Armin van Buuren feat Fiora). I love this track most because it is synonymous with my epic road-trip of 3,000 km (over 10 days) which was a bucket list item for me. This was the first song that I played when I embarked on my journey. And coincidentally it turned out to be the last song playing before switching off my engine. In many ways, Breathe In Deep made my trip more romantic and memorable.
Even now whenever I play this track, I’m mentally transported back on the road. I think Armin should become the brand ambassador for a time machine (whenever it is invented). His ability to teleport you between past and present is remarkable!

Armin played this track at Blue Frog on 18-11-2010 and I was fortunate to hear it live n I started loving this track more than ever. Hope to see the God once again this March. Hi MissMalini! My most favorite Armin track is ‘Broken Tonight (feat. VanVelzen)’. I first heard it in 2010 and became an instant fan.
I have this track (along with many other of his hits) on my iPod as a permanent fixture. I listen to it as a ritual – on every flight that I take, after a hard day at work, if I’m feeling bad about my weight (you know how it is with women!) or just on a day when I need more than my usual dose of upliftment. And THIS is one track that has never failed to deliver. The beats in it can elevate my spirits in the lowest lows and make me fly otherwise!
I have been a fan of EDM, trance and progressive since last 10-odd years. I like listening to many EDM DJs and producers. But one distinguishing factor about Armin’s music is how he consistently sticks to the philosophy of the genre. His music has such a unique universal appeal – you can listen to it anywhere in the world and still not realize which part of the world you’re in (personally tested in Dubai, Sing and HK!).
It’s on my bucket list to see Armin live at an ASOT event. Hope Xmas comes early for me in 2013 (through you)!

My favourite song is Armin van Buuren feat. Fiora – Waiting For The Night. I love this song because of its beautiful, uplifting and soulful melody. It quite literally puts you in a dreamy trance & makes you feel so free. Just like his music is meant to be.
Its the perfect anthem for a gorgeous night under the stars. Also AVB is the only artist to whom ive been listening to for over 6 years now. Since I fist stumbled upon his music on the first-generation iPod days. Also, winning tickets to his concert will be a dream come true. Not just for me, but also for my BF who is a crazy fan of AVB.

My favourite AVB track will be youtopia. It stood out from most of the music he has produced in the past and instantly brings a smile to my face.
So i always wanted to attend AVB live with a very close friend who introduced me to this track. He will be attending armin live at UMF,Miami this year i hope to attend it in Bombay :)
