Bombay Talkies
Bombay Talkies

Four very different Bollywood filmmakers – Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Bannerjee, Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar – are marking 100 years of Hindi cinema with a special film titled Bombay Talkies, which is a collection of four short films centred around cinema. Some actors that feature in the film are Amitabh Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Saqib Saleem, Randeep Hooda and Katrina Kaif, with Ranbir Kapoor being the narrator for all four films. They just released the official first trailer of Bombay Talkies, so have a look and let us know what you think of it!

Interestingly, in a press con today, they all revealed what they would have individually named their films:

Zoya – Sheila Ki Jawaani
Dibakar – Star
Anurag – Murabba
Karan – Ajeeb Daastan Hai Yeh

Each film was made with a budget of 1.5 crores each, which Karan Johar said was extremely difficult for him since he’s never really worked with a budget!

Do you like the trailer? I’m very much intrigued and love that there’s no dialogue in this trailer. Looking forward to the release in May!
