The team of Aashiqui 2 just released the first song from their film, titled Tum Hi Ho. I had to share it with you guys because I’m slowly becoming obsessed with it, which is a good thing – the original Aashiqui was famous for its soundtrack so the makers would have had a huge burden on their shoulders to make sure that the album of the sequel at least matches up.
Fun fact: the soundtrack will have 11 songs, just like the first film did – 10 original compositions and then Saanson Ki Zaroorat, which they are retaining from the first film. Listen to Tum Hi Ho and let us know whether you think Aashiqui 2‘s album has a shot at being as good as the original Aashiqui‘s!
Seriously though, how amazing is this Arijit Singh? He sounds different in every song, but in a good way; it shows his versatility! He’s been hitting it out of the park with each of his songs – Raabta, Saawali Si Raat, Phir Le Aaya Dil, to name some – and Tum Hi Ho is a great addition to his list. As someone who remembers him from his Fame Gurukul days, I’m pretty kicked about how far he’s come and can’t wait to hear more of his work.
