The Aircel Save Our Tigers’ presents Fashion For A Cause, had a truck load of designer names who showed garments with the tiger as their inspiration. Some seemed abstract and the others were pretty obvious, Team MissMalini was at the show and here are our 3 picks that deserve a mention.

Our Picks

Kallol Datta 1955 for Aircel 'Save Our Tigers' Fashion For A Cause

On seeing the first garment, there was no question as to why Kallol Datta 1955‘s garment opened the show. Embodying his usual loose de-structured silhouette, the abstract tiger graphic in black was stark against the yellow. It set the mood for the show and from there, the audience were charged for the next 39 looks.

This garment had a set of shiny spikes that were used for the top and smaller, matt round studs used in the bottom. The effect the studs created in combination was with a sense of edge and seriousness that connected it to the cause. The garment made it obvious that Kanika Saluja paid close attention to details and the statement it could make.

We loved that designer, Sanjay Hingu presented one of the most wearable looks in the show. A simple pair of pajama style bottoms with tiny paw prints and an uber-cool jacket to intensify the look. Model Prabh took a moment to show off his torso which set the girls growling!
