Guess who has a cameo role in Aashiqui-2? None other than the producer of the film, Mahesh Bhatt. However, unlike Alfred Hitchcock and Subhash Ghai who are known to make fleeting appearances in their films, Bhatt will only be heard and not seen.
Says Mahesh Bhatt, “I play the lead actor’s (Aditya Roy Kapoor) father. But I am not acting in the film; you won’t see me. I have given my voice for two scenes. He has a phone conversation with his dad and my voice can be heard.”
This reminds us of actor John Forsythe who played the role of Charlie in Charlie’s Angels. Only his voice was heard over the phone or the speaker but his character was never seen on screen.
