Actor Mahaakshay Chakraborty (best known as Mimoh) saw success in Bollywood with Vikram Bhatt’s Haunted 3D but since then, he’s almost disappeared off the radar. His subsequent films – Loot and Tukka Fitt – tanked at the box office and this year, he has Enemmy (with father Mithun Chakraborty) up for release.
However, while one would think that Vikram Bhatt would cast him in the sequel to Haunted, there’s no such luck for Mimoh (despite the first film being a hit).
Says Mimoh, “Vikram is my saviour. Haunted 3D became successful and gave me a new position in the industry. I have had a great time working for the film and it is a great memory.”
While Vikram Bhatt has not revealed who the stars will be, he says, “Haunted-2 should go on floors by the end of the year. But, it won’t have Mahaakshay. Instead, the sequel will have new actors.”
