Director Lovely Singh is rather peeved at ill-informed reports in the media which speculated on the the status of his friendship with actress Kareena Kapoor. Yesterday, a tabloid carried a story which enumerated a number of reasons why they were not close friends anymore, and that she did not even invite him for her wedding.
Says Lovely, “Its true that Kareena and me have been friends since Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai. She is a great human being and a great friend but nothing is permanent in life. We did have some misunderstandings but nothing was so serious that they have quoted me as saying that I wasn’t invited for her marriage. That is something I never said.”
Adds Lovely Singh, “Kareena and I distanced ourselves two years back. But I’ll be always grateful to her for being there as a friend and being there for my first movie like how Ayesha Takia and Tusshar Kapoor were. I wish her all the best she is a great actress and no one can take this away from her. I wish her happiness!”
Now that this statement clears the air, hopefully no further fabrications will appear in the media about the details of Lovely and Kareena’s friendship.
