Oh dear lord. Look who’s back. In this interview with Variety Mallika Sherawat claims to a) be the first Bollywood actress to kiss on screen and b) the first one to wear a bikini. Um… both false. Plus she does it all in a terrible terrible accent. So from the “battam” of my heart – oh BARF.

And just to set the record straight, I believe the first Bollywood actress to don a bikini was Sharmila Tagore in An Evening in Paris (1967) and for Filmfare magazine, followed by Dimple Kapadia in Bobby (1973), Zeenat Aman in Heera Panna (1973), Parveen Babi in Qurbani (1980) and Yeh Nazdeekiyan (1982). So no lady, it was not you even if we go by your original date of birth you were probably still in diapers.
