Some people buy property, some people buy jewellery, but Randeep Hooda has put his money in something else entirely. The actor just made a major purchase; something a little more suited to his tastes. Can you guess what that is?
His love for horses is well-known, and while Randeep already owns 5 of them, he’s just added a whole lot more to his stable. The actor recently bought a polo team that will be playing when the Indian Polo season begins later this year.
Randeep Hooda says:
“I am planning to name the team Royal Roosters, as it has a royal and naughty touch and the sport can do with some fun.”
For the team, Randeep requires between 20 to 25 horses and will need to bring in professional players both from India and abroad. The team will be stationed in Jaipur, and Randeep says that whenever he gets time off from working on his films, he will practice and then maybe play on the team as well. He’s clear that he won’t go on the field without practicing, because – according to him – he will make a fool of himself.
He further goes on to say:
“Contrary to the royal and uptight image of polo, I want to bring it to a younger generation. This is a great sport that can have a larger audience and appeal to more people. Sportsmanship is lacking in many other sports that I don’t want to name. I am teaming up with the Royal India Polo Company and they are helping me in taking calls for the team. I will be looking at major corporate and private individuals for sponsorship too.”
