Anupama Chopra: Is it true Emraan that you don’t smile very often? I read that one of the running jokes on the sets of Ghanchakkar was that, “Aapne Emraan ko haste huye dekha hai?”

Emraan Hashmi: Yes, I don’t. I am wired up on a film set. I believe there has to be some amount of vulnerability when you are performing. When I realize I am extremely confident in a scene, I know I am not going to deliver my best. So, I always need to be in that zone. You see I never wanted to be an actor, I just discovered this as a job 12 years back. It takes a lot out of me to perform. I think it’s easier for Vidya. She is spontaneous as an actress. It takes lot out of me so I always need to be in that zone because if I get out of it, it’s very difficult for me to pop back in. So, that’s the reason probably.
