The upcoming Shuddh Desi Romance, the love triangle starring Parineeti Chopra, Sushant Singh Rajput and Vaani Kapoor, is based in Jaipur. Therefore, for some scenes, the team wanted to shoot at the famous Raj Mandir, the art-deco theatre that’s extremely popular amongst couples. Unfortunately, though, the owners initially refused, saying that they do not let anyone shoot on the premises.
Later, however, the doors were opened for them – and only because the team conveyed to the owners that Yash Chopra had a long-standing wish to shoot at that theatre. Since it all worked out, the Shuddh Desi Romance team was able to go ahead and shoot some romantic scenes on the premises, and will also be unveiling the trailer there.
This is the first – and perhaps last – time that a film has been shot at Raj Mandir.
