There’s a lot an actor has to do to give an authentic portrayal of an actor, whether it be by donning a different style or learning a new language. For Parineeti Chopra, though, getting into the skin of her Shuddh Desi Romance character required something else entirely: smoking a cigarette for the first time!
Parineeti, a non-smoker, was required to do a scene where she is sitting on a toilet and smoking. The official spokesperson of the movie said, “It was a interesting and difficult to play someone who is a regular smoker. Being a non-smoker, she found it difficult to deal with the smoke but she did the scene with a lot of conviction.”
I think Parineeti is fantastic at her work, so we’re looking forward to her in this one!
