Ashutosh Gowariker, who last made Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey in 2010, is ready to begin work on his next film. Word has it that it will be a period film set against the backdrop of the early Mohenjo Daro colonies of India, and apparently he already has names in mind for his lead pair.
If the grapevine is to be believed, Ashutosh is in talks with Hrithik Roshan to play the male lead, although there has not been any confirmation from Duggu’s end as of yet. Nothing has been decided for the female lead either, but Ashutosh is keen to work with Priyanka Chopra, who has been his favourite since What’s Your Rashee. We’ll have to see if things work out, but if they do, this film would feature Hrithik and Priyanka as a romantic pairing – the story, we hear, is of two lovers in ancient India, and Ashutosh has done extensive research for his script.
