Doe-eyed and pretty in a frothy peach confection was model and actress Lisa Hayden, who glided down the ramp as the celebrity show-stopper for jewelry designer Nirav Modi at the India International Jewelry Week, which kicked off in Mumbai yesterday.
With potted jasmine plants lining the ramp and the backdrop, reminiscent of the Garden of Eden, the show opened with a fabulous ballet performance by dancers from the Imperial Fernando Ballet Company.
Nirav Modi showed off four stunning collections of baubles – Mughal, Sherezade, Sunburst and Fluire. Glittering lacy neck-pieces enchanted us while shimmering hoops for the ears gleamed under the arc lights. A triple strands necklace of diamonds with matching cuffs was a dream to behold and a side looped necklace on a flat bed of sparklers was superbly created.
The final entry by Lisa Haydon saw her displaying a ruby and lacy diamond creation with matching earrings and bracelet, which was a fitting end to a classy presentation.
