Designer Arpita Mehta has burst onto the fashion scene with her gorgeous Indian wear which has been spotted on the likes of Deepika Padukone and Madhuri Dixit. For her Lakme Fashion Week debut later this month, she will showcase a contemporary vintage, and garden inspired collection.
The Violet Collection, as its been entitled, features gota and mirror work on all pieces. What’s unique about the designs, is the placement. The detail work can be seen in unusual places, such as the cuffs of a kurta, and around the neck of the choli. Purple shades will be dominant throughout the collection.
