For all the news that you hear about Bollywood actresses on a daily basis, there’s one girl who likes to keep a low profile and not involve herself in the usual drama that surrounds the industry. That doesn’t stop people from buzzing about Anushka Sharma, but what we really like about the actress is that she’s extremely straightforward about these things. She’ll be quick to refute any controversies that crop up, but she’s just as quick to shoot down a story that paints her in a good light if it’s untrue.
We recently heard a story that Anushka had managed to impress her Bombay Velvet co-star, Ranbir Kapoor, to a great extent. The rumours suggested that Anushka had performed a very lengthy and difficult sequence in one take, and Ranbir and the unit were so impressed that they applauded for several minutes straight. However, when we reached out to Anushka, she denied that this incident ever happened! Pretty surprising, since there are a very few people in Bollywood who would ask their spokespeople to let a favourable article go… especially since most of Bollywood operates by asking their spokespeople to plant such stories.
Kudos to Anushka for being straightforward and not getting tangled up in the usual PR games.
