Sad news pouring in: it seems that Madhuri Dixit‘s father, Shankar Dixit, passed away earlier this morning in Mumbai after being ill for quite some time. Mr Dixit was 91 years old upon his passing, and had his family by his side when he was breathing his last. Shooting for Jhalak, which was supposed to happen today, has been called off because of this incident. The actress has shot for half of the finale episode, but, given her loss, may be unable to shoot the other half.
Madhuri Dixit says:
“We’ll miss him but we know he lived a full life. We thank all those who have offered their condolences and prayers.”
