Sushant Singh Rajput is certainly on a roll! After receiving good reviews for Shuddh Desi Romance and bagging the lead role in Shekhar Kapur‘s Paani, the actor now has another feather to add to his cap. He has been signed on for a film opposite Katrina Kaif, called Fitoor. The movie, which will go on floors early next year, is to be directed by Abhishek Kapoor, who earlier directed Sushant in his debut Bollywood film Kai Po Che.
Abhishek Kapoor told PTI:
“I am currently working on the script of ‘Fitoor’. I am really excited about it and will start shooting early next year. I am blessed that Katrina and Sushant are equally excited about the film. They best suit the characters involved in the movie. I don’t know how they will evolve since it’s too early to know but I am hoping it turns out to be good.”
The film is based on the Charles Dickens classic, The Great Expectations. This is a pairing I never really considered before, so it’ll really be interesting to see how they work together. What are your thoughts – will they make a good pair?
