The rumours about Ileana D’Cruz being a part of Sooraj Barjatya‘s next with Salman Khan just won’t die down. When asked some time ago, the actress maintained that she had not met with anyone regarding the project, and the quote that was attributed to her in a publication (saying that she had signed on the film) was false. While a host of other actresses have been reported to be in the running for the part, Ileana’s name is still the one that’s been cropping up the most recently. We wonder whether Salman has anything to do with that?
We’re told that Bhai was very much impressed by Ileana’s performance in Barfi!, and was therefore the one who suggested her name to Sooraj Barjatya. There are also whispers that Ileana was the first one approached for Mental (before Daisy Shah), but could not do the film due to date issues. While Ileana’s manager tells us that the Mental story is not true, she did not want to give any comment on whether the actress is doing the Barjatya film.
