So if there’s anyone who can carry off the role of “India’s first lady detective,” I’m pretty sure it’d have to be Vidya Balan! The actress has been signed on for a film called Bobby Jasoos, which is supposed to be made by Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha‘s production house, Born Free Entertainment. I’m excited about VB, but I’m also pleased that Born Free has added (what looks to be) a big film to their roster.
Vidya Balan says:
“I’ve known Dia and Sahil for many years, they’re lovely people and one can sense that this will be their shared labor of love. That’s the kind of producers everyone hopes to have. The final clincher was the script by Sanyuktha Chawla and director Samar Shaikh who I’m really looking forward to working with.”
Dia Mirza says:
“I’m thrilled to welcome Vidya into the Born Free family,” she says. “The script of Bobby Jasoos bears testimony to the fact that being patient and investing in good stories usually reaps good dividends.”
Sahil Sangha says:

Incase you’re wondering, no – Zayed Khan will not be continuing his association with the production house. He collaborated with them for Love Breakups Zindagi, but now wants to pursue his acting career and fulfill his responsibilities towards his father’s production house.
