You won’t often hear a Bollywood actress claiming to be a “big fan” of another actress in the same age group, but Esha Gupta recently took to Instagram to say that she loved Deepika Padukone‘s garba dance in Ram-Leela. We have to agree – Deepika killed it with Nagada Sang Dhol – but what’s even more interesting is that the actress managed to do it despite being in excruciating pain at the time.

DPad was suffering from a piercing pain in her back and shoulder, and had severe swelling and bruises on her feet. However, she wanted to go ahead with the shoot since they were operating on a tight schedule, and so she wore a concealed medical brace around her shoulder to ease the pain.

The good news is that we can expect even more from her in Ram-Leela. Another song promo, Lahu Munh Lag Gaya, will be released tomorrow and we’ve already seen a still from it. Have a look:

I actually can’t get over how stunning she looks in Ram-Leela. From Cocktail to Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani to Chennai Express to Ram-Leela, we’ve seen her in a host of different looks, but for some reason, she makes them all work! It’s a tough choice, but I think RL’s my favourite of her recent looks. Deepika gives most of that credit to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and designer Anju Modi – she said in a recent interview that Leela came to life because of “SLB’s attention to detail combined with Anju’s creative brilliance.”
