Katrina Kaif has been the ambassador for beauty soap brand Lux for quite sometime now, but word was doing the rounds earlier that suggested her contract with them was over. Back then, there were also strong reports that Deepika Padukone had bagged the deal and settled on a very good deal for herself. However, there wasn’t any official announcement, until now – and it turns out that debutante Vaani Kapoor is the one who has been signed on!
Vaani has been signed on for the body wash range, and of course it’s a big deal for her – the brand is a huge one to bag, especially at the start of her career. The campaign will be rolling out nationally in a phased manner over the next few months, so I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot more soon.
As for Deepika, it could be one of three things: a) the news was never true in the first place; b) the deal fell through for whatever reason – she does endorse other beauty brands, so there was possibly a conflict; c) she has been signed on, but for another range/campaign entirely, and we have yet to hear about it.
