Shahid Kapoor has said it before, and now it looks like Varun Dhawan‘s following the same path! In a recent interview, the actor claimed that he’s decided he’s not going to date an actress. So we guess that puts the rest the rumours of Shraddha Kapoor, Bipasha Basu and Alia Bhatt!
He did deny – twice – the rumours of him dating Alia in his recent TOI interview, and said that the news of him being responsible for her split with Arjun Kapoor came “like a bolt from the blue.” He then claimed that he’d never date an actress, and incase you’re wondering why, here’s the reason he gave:
“I don’t want to be known as a ‘player’. I don’t want to give plastic smiles on television and say ‘No comments’. Till now, I have kept quiet.”
When the interviewer asked whether he’d be able to “hold back,” Varun added that it’s not like he’s “recently hit puberty that [he needs] to do such things.” He even went on to say that filmmaking is a serious job, and that’s where his concentration lies at the moment.
We do indeed know that he’s been giving it his all! He only recently wrapped up shooting for Main Tera Hero in Bangkok, and now that he’s back in the city, he lent his support for a dengue awareness campaign along with Leander Paes and Baba Siddique. Have a look at pictures:
