As we told you yesterday, Priyanka Chopra inaugurated a cancer ward at Nanavati Hospital in her father, Dr Ashok Chopra‘s, name. The actress, who lost her dad to the disease earlier this year, claimed that she’s supporting the fight against cancer. According to her, it’s a difficult period not just for the person who has it, but all their relatives as well – and therefore it’s important for proper care to be provided to those who need it.
PC is also adamant that no one should go untreated. She said that her father lived a good eight years after his cancer was first detected, and that was because her family already knew about cancer care and were able to research it and learn more. In addition to inaugurating the ward, she has also donated 50 lakhs to the hospital for cancer care.
