In their six years of marriage, this is the first time that Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were away from each other on Karwa Chauth. Abhishek is currently shooting out of the city for his film with Umesh Shukla titled Mere Apne, so in order to follow the traditions of the festival, the Bachchan family relied on technology! Both Amitabh and Abhishek posted on Twitter saying that Aishwarya broke her fast after seeing Abhishek’s face via video chat.
They were not the only ones in Bollywood celebrating Karwa Chauth. Twinkle and Akshay Kumar were also spotted gearing up for the festivities:
Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor held a small get-together at his home for friends and family. Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, Chunky and Bhavna Pandey, amongst others were spotted.
