E-sense Entertainment kicked off India Resortwear Fashion Week in style last night, with the official launch at Olive in Mumbai. The launch party saw many of the Bombay’s fashionistas kicking up their heels and having a blast till the wee hours.
MissMalini spoke to creative director Rocky S. on the upcoming fashion extravaganza and here’s what he told her:

MissMalini: What is your role with IRFW?
Rocky S.: This time around, the India Resort Fashion Week is in Bombay and they have got me on board as the Creative Director. Putting the whole fashion week together is not easy. But we’re getting there.
MissMalini: What will be different about IRFW this year?
RS: We want to focus more on the business of resort fashion wear, focus on the designers, focus on the clothes.
MissMalini: What kind of clothes can people look out for, apart from bikinis?
RS: Resort wear is all about comfort wear. So you’ll see a lot of dresses, kaftans, tunics and jumpsuits. We’ve got on board some fab designers like Nandita Mahtani and Surily Goel who are known for their resort wear.
MissMalini: What is your secret to creating fab clothes?
RS: A woman needs to look like a woman. And that is my secret.
